Welcome to this site. My name is Mária (rhymes with "aria"). I am a consultant and psychotherapist in private practice in New York, NY.

If you need help with smoking cessation, I provide hypnotherapy for stopping smoking, as well as many other self-sabotaging behaviors. As a member of the NBCCH (National Board of Clinical Hypnotherapists), and have been certified in brief therapy. I use hypnotherapeutic techniques for performance enhancement, as well as for healing enhancement for people with cancer or who are battling addictions. I am also certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
If you are having problems with your relationship, I am a certified Imago Relationship therapist, specializing in communication facilitation with non-traditional couples and with communication between parents and children.
Many people come to this site when they have tried traditional routes, and are now looking for something non-traditional, or simply out of the ordinary. Sometimes desperate times call for unique measures. I have been trained in Shamanism by Alberto Villoldo, Joan Poelvoorde, Michael Harner, and Robert Moss. As part of this work, I am dedicated to environmental awareness, including wilderness preservation and global environmental conservation.
